Take a walk....... chronology

Kashmir Stone a name that changed the Malaysian Indian music industry overnight. The bands unique name was given by its founder Brahma. Kashmir Stone released their (diy) album 7 suruthi (later was named Mangga Thoppu) in 1999 during Thaipusam festival, what is suppose to be a 'Trial' demo became a national anthem amongst die hard rock fans….with a controversial song Mangga Thoppu, the band had the attention from rockers, the Malay media to the politicians… all giving different opinion regarding the band... but everything contributed to the sales of the album.

After a two year break Kashmir Stone released their 2nd album called Nande Kathey. This album became a talk of the town with their song Malaysia Makkel entering Malay radio chart, with half Malay and half Tamil lyrics and contents about the Malaysian history gave Kashmir Stone a permanent signature in the Malaysian music industry.


In 2004 Kashmir Stone released their 3rd album called 80's Rock Remix; this album contains hits from the old Tamil movie soundtracks hits rearranged to rock version. Even one of the old hit has been changed to new lyrics which talked about K.L traffic jam which enjoyed overwhelming support from radio d.j's. The song K.L City enjoyed 5 weeks in the THR Raaga as the number one song and still in the top 10 till today.


Apart from the album success the band also played for a wide range of crowd from AlorStar to Singapore.
Kashmir Stone has been invited to play at Merdeka Rock n
Race concert, Hiburan Minggu Ini and Rentak Juara organized by RTM.
Other programs by ASTRO and very recent a concert with THR RAAGA at Batu Kawan stadium which pulled around 75,000 people.

On the move ...

The band is currently working on their Vcd project which scheduled to release during Deepavali this year. This project includes samba rock band The Real Keys and Kashmir Stone playing together for the first time. This Vcd project is expected to be instant hit among the Kashmir Stone and The Real Keys fans.
The bands next move is to release a Malay album to cater for the Malay market, studio work has started and the album is scheduled to hit the streets at the end of the year.
